Carroll County, Maryland is the ninth largest of the 24 Maryland school systems. The County covers 465 square miles and has over 160,000 residents. Located 30 to 40 miles west of Baltimore City, Carroll County provides a variety of options for quality living - small towns, the suburbs or the city.
CCPS is the largest employer in the county with just over 3,500 employees and a student population of 29,000.
Our location provides easy access to professional growth at a number of colleges and universities, including Coppin State, Goucher, Johns Hopkins, McDaniel, Towson and the University of Maryland.
